friend dinner

**If you’re on this page, it should be because I sent you a link directly (or because you like eating dinner with strangers and want to gate crash, which is cool, as long as you’re not creepy)**

Here are two things I like: eating food and connecting people. Back when I lived in Chicago, I would host monthly dinners to bring together the motley crew of people in my life to try out new recipes / drink wine / generally enjoy each others’ company, whether that was a co-worker, a best friend, my grandma, the barista at my coffee shop, or a total stranger that looked like they needed a meal. They’ve gone by many names (including Potluck Party, Motley Stew, Stranger Supper, etc.) but they’ve always just been “Friend Dinners” for me. I haven’t done that since I moved to Seattle but have missed it a lot and am resurrecting the tradition!

Entrance fee is simply something to share with roughly 10 people (because who doesn’t love a good potluck). Feel free to bring someone else along if the thought of showing up to a house with a bunch of strangers terrifies you, or if you know someone that would love sharing a meal with strangers-who-will-soon-be-friends.

THE NEXT DINNER IS:

 Friday, July 27th

at Kate’s house

901 1st Ave. N, the door on the right with the wreath

I’ll be cooking short rib ragu and a shaved brussels sprouts salad…bring dishes and drinks accordingly!

Please RSVP below if you can make it. Hope to see you there!
